Archeage counter to dark runner4/5/2023 ![]() ![]() If you really want to minmax for every match up feel free to get a plate and cloth set.īe aware of your surroundings. That being said I do not recommend ever using any type of axe as a main hand, axes are a terrible weapon choice for darkrunner and all melee, they have 20% damage scattering, which means your damage will be very random and inconsistent, however serp axe as an offhand is very goodĪgain, like weapons, Darkrunner can use most armor types depending on who you're fighting but I'd recommend maining an obsidian leather set (Explained in the gear section). One of the great things about Darkrunner is that it can adapt and use what ever melee weapon you want to an extent. I prefer taking a Strength/Stamina set (Obs leather) over a pure Strength set (Flame) because I like to play Darkrunner as more of a fighter style class than a glass cannon class, however, gearing this way doesn't lessen your damage output by much and the amount of melee attack you get using a Flame set is simply not worth losing the health an obs leather set gives you (I explain this more in the gear section below). Most people and guides will tell you it's a "glass cannon" class with little to no survivability (and it can be) but that is almost entirely based on your gear choice. ![]() *If you're playing on fresh start I'll list the gear to aim for in the gear sectionĭarkrunner is one of the most mobile classes other than Primeval. * Keep in mind the armor/weapons I list are the ideal ones you'd want, for some things I give more than one option and that's for you to decide which one you want to use *This guide assumes you have some basic knowledge of the game Then follow it up with whatever dps rotation you can think of.THIS IS NOT UPDATED FOR UNCHAINED MOST OF THE INFO IS INCORRECT NOW Most people don't expect such a gap closer in a short amount of time. Unconventional methods is something like Backdrop+Teleport+Shadowstep to cover 100m gap and then Leech. ![]() Just gotta figure out which ones is best for each class you come across, that being said, you're gona have to come up with not just one, but several rotations in order to adapt to who you are facing. Withcraft and Auramancy has antisleep buffs. Initiating with overwhelm against people with auramancy = shrug it off. Initiating with Stalker mark+Overwhelm won't work on most people who have Defence skill tree because all they gotta do is pop redoubt, so they won't get tripped by your initiation. So that you can retart your rotation.īut like i said, it depends on who you're going against. ![]() Leech usually to buy you some time in order your have your skills come out of cooldown. Then you can follow it up with Shadowsmite/precision strike. Rotation depends on the class you're going against. If it's a daggerspell or a shadowblade, u'll have to open with stalkers, shadowstep => overwhelm fast, or just get to melee and use Shrugg it off (to counter focal concussion), then teleport fast to avoid Banshee fall, then Bondbreaker if they're gonna use earthen grip, and just do usual rotation. If it's a primeval for example, u'll have to open with tiger strike or shadowstep after your stalker's mark, usually they gonna use a teleport, and then you use your teleport too. Of course, you'll have to act depending of the class you fight. If ennemy have anti-sleep then u have to use stalkers mark, overwhelm etc just like first one. If they don't have shrug it off, you can just go like first combo without stalker's mark but better use it cause it deals more damage :) Leech => Behind enemy lines => ShadowSmite (ennemy is tripped) => Precision Strike => Triple Slash, if not dead just use Tiger Strike, charge etc, same for the first combo If not dead, triple slash to trip then => Tiger Strike (more damage if tripped by triple slash), then charge and triple slash if still not dead OR throw dagger if u have it, but usually they are, otherwise it means they're tanky and you have to reset rotations after your tiger strike. Stalkers => Leech (optional) => Overwhelm => ShadowSmite => Precision Strike. ![]()
